What happens once my application has been processed?
Once registration closes, you will soon receive more detailed information about the camp, including a medical release form, through mail or E-mail.
What do I need to play for the audition Tuesday afternoon?
Three of your favorite scales for as many octaves as you feel comfortable playing
Chromatic Scale as high and low as you can go
Brief sight-reading exercise
PERCUSSION - All of the above, plus 3 rudiments of your choice.
When and where are the auditions held?
The Humanities Building on the campus of the University of West Georgia. This building houses the Department of Music and has been the home of the performing arts at UWG since 1970.
Where do we eat?
The comfortable all-you-can-eat campus restaurant located in the Z-6 Dining Hall at the University of West Georgia. They serve a variety of enticing cuisine every day! Click here to view sample menus!
I have dietary restrictions. Is that ok?
Yes. Please note it in the camp packet you will receive after your initial application has been processed.
Where do we stay?
The University of West Georgia's newest suite-style community - The University Suites. The room includes semi-private bathrooms, extra-long twin mattresses, full size refrigerator, built-in microwave, and suite controlled central heat and A/C. Each building is card access controlled.
Can I choose my roommate?
Yes! Be sure both of you note each other's name on your applications.
Where will the evening concerts be held on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday?
Kathy Cashen Recital Hall in the Humanities Building at the University of West Georgia.
How do we get around campus?
Walk. Campers should wear comfortable shoes each day. The university provides a shuttle system (air-conditioned buses) that is also available for our use. Buses are handicap accessible.
